Right now it appears that Barack Obama will be the next president of the USA. But as Rand Simberg reports, Senator Obama exhibits a distinct lack of substance. Despite his Reaganesque optimism, as far as I can see he's a cipher, an empty vessel, the Oakland candidate ("there's no there there"). Whether that matters in the end remains to be seen. But at least his last name is neither "Bush" nor "Clinton" -- I'm tired of these political dynasties...
