In a first small step toward the vision I outlined six weeks ago, today we deployed a SOCKS5 Bytestreams service at proxy.eu.jabber.org. Many thanks to Flosoft for hosting this service. I'll post more about this at www.jabber.org in the near future, because as I say this is only a first step (we plan to deploy a STUN/TURN server at eu.jabber.org before long, too).
