Voters in my locality (Denver) showed some sense in this year's election. Funding for a new $500 million "justice center" was rejected, as were a sales tax for undefined children's programs (we have to do it for the children!) and a $50 million feasibility study for building a monorail to wealthy ski areas up in the mountains.
