Finding and Losing

by Peter Saint-Andre

There is no education, in the end,
But of the powers that you alone can guide.
Though you believe some teacher is your friend,
Enlightenment is what you find inside.

Despite these truths, the truth that you can find
May be a track that you must fully lose —
In someone else's thought submerge your mind —
And only then emerge with your own muse.
